Chapter 15

12 And said559 unto them, Ye859 are the chief7218 of the fathers1 of the Levites:3881 sanctify yourselves,6942 both ye859 and your brethren,251 that ye may bring up5927 853 the ark727 of the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 unto413 the place that I have prepared3559 for it.

13 For because3588 ye859 did it not3808 at the first,4480 7223 the LORD3068 our God430 made a breach6555 upon us, for3588 that we sought1875 him not3808 after the due order.4941

14 So the priests3548 and the Levites3881 sanctified themselves6942 to bring up5927 853 the ark727 of the LORD3068 God430 of Israel.3478

15 And the children1121 of the Levites3881 bore5375 853 the ark727 of God430 upon their shoulders3802 with the staves4133 thereon,5921 as834 Moses4872 commanded6680 according to the word1697 of the LORD.3068

16 And David1732 spoke559 to the chief8269 of the Levites3881 to appoint5975 853 their brethren251 to be the singers7891 with instruments3627 of music,7892 psalteries5035 and harps3658 and cymbals,4700 sounding,8085 by lifting up7311 the voice6963 with joy.8057

17 So the Levites3881 appointed5975 853 Heman1968 the son1121 of Joel;3100 and of4480 his brethren,251 Asaph623 the son1121 of Berechiah;1296 and of4480 the sons1121 of Merari4847 their brethren,251 Ethan387 the son1121 of Kushaiah;6984

18 And with5973 them their brethren251 of the second4932 degree, Zechariah,2148 Ben,1122 and Jaaziel,3268 and Shemiramoth,8070 and Jehiel,3171 and Unni,6042 Eliab,446 and Benaiah,1141 and Maaseiah,4641 and Mattithiah,4993 and Elipheleh,466 and Mikneiah,4737 and Obed-edom,5654 and Jeiel,3273 the porters.7778

19 So the singers,7891 Heman,1968 Asaph,623 and Ethan,387 were appointed to sound8085 with cymbals4700 of brass;5178

20 And Zechariah,2148 and Aziel,5815 and Shemiramoth,8070 and Jehiel,3171 and Unni,6042 and Eliab,446 and Maaseiah,4641 and Benaiah,1141 with psalteries5035 on5921 Alamoth;5961

21 And Mattithiah,4993 and Elipheleh,466 and Mikneiah,4737 and Obed-edom,5654 and Jeiel,3273 and Azaziah,5812 with harps3658 on5921 the Sheminith8067 to excel.5329

22 And Chenaniah,3663 chief8269 of the Levites,3881 was for song:4853 he instructed3256 about the song,4853 because3588 he1931 was skillful.995

23 And Berechiah1296 and Elkanah511 were doorkeepers7778 for the ark.727

24 And Shebaniah,7645 and Jehoshaphat,3046 and Nethaneel,5417 and Amasai,6022 and Zechariah,2148 and Benaiah,1141 and Eliezer,461 the priests,3548 did blow2690 with the trumpets2689 before6440 the ark727 of God:430 and Obed-edom5654 and Jehiah3174 were doorkeepers7778 for the ark.727

25 So1961 David,1732 and the elders2205 of Israel,3478 and the captains8269 over thousands,505 went1980 to bring up5927 853 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 out of4480 the house1004 of Obed-edom5654 with joy.8057

26 And it came to pass,1961 when God430 helped5826 853 the Levites3881 that bore5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD,3068 that they offered2076 seven7651 bullocks6499 and seven7651 rams.352

27 And David1732 was clothed3736 with a robe4598 of fine linen,948 and all3605 the Levites3881 that bore5375 853 the ark,727 and the singers,7891 and Chenaniah3663 the master8269 of the song4853 with the singers:7891 David1732 also had upon him an ephod646 of linen.906

28 Thus all3605 Israel3478 brought up5927 853 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 with shouting,8643 and with sound6963 of the cornet,7782 and with trumpets,2689 and with cymbals,4700 making a noise8085 with psalteries5035 and harps.3658

29 And it came to pass,1961 as the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 came935 to5704 the city5892 of David,1732 that Michal4324 the daughter1323 of Saul7586 looking out8259 at1157 a window2474 saw7200 853 king4428 David1732 dancing7540 and playing:7832 and she despised959 him in her heart.3820

2 Давид сказал: — Никто, кроме левитов, не может носить Божьего ковчега, потому что Господь избрал их носить ковчег Господа и служить Ему вовеки.

3 Давид собрал весь Израиль в Иерусалиме, чтобы перенести ковчег Господа на место, которое он для него приготовил.

4 Он созвал потомков Аарона и левитов.

5 Из потомков Каафа — вождя Уриила и 120 его родственников;

6 из потомков Мерари — вождя Асаю и 220 его родственников;

11 Затем Давид призвал священников Цадока и Авиатара и левитов Уриила, Асаю, Иоиля, Шемаю, Элиэла и Аминадава

12 и сказал им: — Вы — главы левитских семейств. Вы и ваши собратья левиты должны освятиться и перенести ковчег Господа, Бога Израиля, на место, которое я для него приготовил.

13 Ведь именно из-за того, что не вы, левиты, несли его в первый раз, Господь, наш Бог, обрушил на нас Свой гнев: мы не спросили Его, как исполнить это по предписанному.

14 Священники и левиты освятились, чтобы перенести ковчег Господа, Бога Израиля.

15 Левиты понесли Божий ковчег на шестах, положив их себе на плечи, как повелел по слову Господа Моисей.

16 Давид сказал старейшинам левитов назначить из их собратьев певцов, чтобы петь радостные песни под музыкальные инструменты — лиры, арфы и тарелки.

17 Левиты избрали Емана, сына Иоиля, из его братьев — Асафа, сына Берехии, а из их братьев мераритов — Етана, сына Кушаи;

18 а также их братьев, следующих за ними по званию: Захарию, Иаазиила, Шемирамофа, Иехиила, Унния, Элиава, Бенаю, Маасейю, Маттифию, Элифлеуя, Микнея, Овид-Эдома, Иеила — привратников.

19 Музыканты Еман, Асаф и Етан должны были играть на бронзовых тарелках;

20 Захария, Азиил, Шемирамоф, Иехиил, Унний, Элиав, Маасея и Беная должны были играть на лирах под «аламот»,

21 а Маттифия, Элифлеуй, Микней, Овид-Эдом, Иеил и Азазия должны были играть на арфах, ведя свою партию под «шеминит».

22 Хенания, начальник левитов, должен был отвечать за пение, потому что он был в нем искусен.

23 Берехия и Элкана охраняли ковчег.

24 Священники Шевания, Иосафат, Нафанаил, Амасай, Захария, Беная и Элиезер должны были трубить перед Божьим ковчегом в трубы. Овид-Эдом и Иехия тоже охраняли ковчег.

25 Давид, и старейшины Израиля, и тысячники пошли, чтобы с радостью перенести ковчег завета Господня из дома Овид-Эдома.

26 Так как Бог помог левитам, которые несли ковчег завета Господня, в жертву были принесены семь быков и семь баранов.

13 Ведь именно из-за того, что не вы, левиты, несли его в первый раз, Господь, наш Бог, обрушил на нас Свой гнев: мы не спросили Его, как исполнить это по предписанному.

17 Левиты избрали Емана, сына Иоиля, из его братьев — Асафа, сына Берехии, а из их братьев мераритов — Етана, сына Кушаи;

19 Музыканты Еман, Асаф и Етан должны были играть на бронзовых тарелках;

20 And Zechariah,2148 and Aziel,5815 and Shemiramoth,8070 and Jehiel,3171 and Unni,6042 and Eliab,446 and Maaseiah,4641 and Benaiah,1141 with psalteries5035 on5921 Alamoth;5961

25 Давид, и старейшины Израиля, и тысячники пошли, чтобы с радостью перенести ковчег завета Господня из дома Овид-Эдома.

28 Так весь Израиль перенес ковчег завета Господня с радостными криками под звуки бараньих рогов, труб и тарелок, под музыку лир и арф.
